Hello,
We are trying to register a Nortel 1140E SIP phone to an Avaya IP Office system.
System information:
A standard SIP softphone can successfully register to the same IP Office system using a SIP extension.
However, the Nortel 1140E does not register.
Could you please confirm the correct configuration and provisioning procedure for registering a Nortel 1140E SIP phone on IP Office 500 V2 Release 12?
We would especially like to confirm:
Since a standard SIP client registers successfully to the same SIP Registrar, the SIP Registrar itself appears to be working correctly.
If possible, could you also provide a working example configuration for the 1140E with IP Office Release 12?
Thank you for your support.

- The correct extension type in IP Office
- Required licensing
- Correct Username / Authentication ID configuration
- Whether the IP Office User Login Code should be used as the SIP password
- Correct Registrar / Proxy / Domain settings on the 1140E
- Whether any specific provisioning files are required
