    Programming Night Service

Could use some help in programming our Partner System for night service.
We lost power and all of programming for the system. We are back up running thanks to the help of people on this forum.
We have a Partner 2 Communication System R4.0 with Partner Mail VS VMS R3.
    All of that is working.
What I need help with is night service. This is what we used to have.
    1. Night button turned on after hours.
    2. Caller calls in and plant horn (ext 35) rings and receptionist phone (ext10) rings
    3. After 4 rings, night message comes on and says that we are closed and if they would like to speak to personnel in the plant the must dial 35.
    4. Plant horn (ext 35) rings 9 times.
    5. If no one picks up ext. 35 the caller is returned to ext 10 voicemail box to leave a message.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Program from Ext. 10 - to enter System Programming, press Feature, dial 00, then press the Left Hand Intercom button Twice

Put a Night Service button on Ext. 10 - dial #503-3-press the Night Service button on the phone

Assign Ext. 35 to the Night Service group, so that it rings when Night Service is turned on - #504-35-1 (Ext. 10 continues to ring, because it already rings in the Day mode)

Assign the outside lines that will be answered by the automated attendant when in Night Service - #206-7-(2 digit line number)-1 The 2-digit line number is 01 for Line 1, 02 for Line 2, etc., do this for EACH line that needs to be answered

Assign the lines to only be answered when in Night Service - #507-3 (Night Only)

Assign the number of rings before the lines are answered when in Night Service - #506-2 (Delayed, which means 4 rings)

Set the number of rings before a transferred call to an extension without voicemail coverage assigned returns to 9 rings - #105-9

Set the destination for an unanswered transferred call to an extension without voicemail coverage - #306-(extension number of a voicemail port)-10 - here, you're going to have to put in the extension number of the voicemail port that you determined to be able to get your voicemail system working again, do it for both or all 4 ports.)

Now the biggest bummer with all of this. Your Partner II processor has a set of NiCad batteries SOLDERED directly to the circuit board, and they have stopped recharging. If you have another power failure, all of your programming is going to go away again. It's not hard, if you have electronics experience, to crack open the module, unsolder the old batteries, and solder in a new set, but the system will be out of commission while you do it, and of course you'll have to reprogram once it's done. Just using a UPS/Battery Backup is not really an option, as you need to unplug the system to put it on the UPS, and it the power failure lasts longer than the battery in the UPS, you're back in the same boat.

      Thanks for your help.
Ok. all set and the system works as intended.
And yes, that is a BIG bummer. Glad I saved my notes.
      Thanks again!
