Getting random call everyday at 3pm exactly

Everyday at 3pm, one of the lady's office phone will ring every day at exactly 3 pm. It's been going on for a few months now and she said it happens literally every day. When she answers the phone, its never anyone there. It makes me think that its some type of alarm of some type but I am not even sure where to being as far as messing with these phones. Any one have any suggestions with what might be going on here? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Does the call come with an automatic number identification (ANI) that you can capture? If so you can try calling it back for an explaination.

If you don't have a line 9 hooked up then you shouldn't have an incoming route setup, and if you don't have the incoming route setup then the call won't go anywhere. Is line 9 a POTS line? If so can you find out what port it's coming in on and connect an analog phone on that line as a test? If you still get the call at 3PM then it's clearly someone dialing the number at 3PM daily and you'll have to open a ticket with your carrier.

Sorry. . . I do not understnd the reverence to "line 9." I was speaking of the service most carriers offer on ISDN and SIP trunks that includes the callers number with the call data. It's called Caller ID on residential lines and ANI on business trunks. What kind of trunking do you have with your carrier?

What was the Answer to This?

I would be curious to hear the answer if there was one.
