Administering C-LAN integration

Administration of Controlled LAN (C-LAN) integration consists of the following steps:

Note: This section only covers the procedures for administering and configuring the messaging server for C-LAN integration.

Before proceeding with C-LAN administration, check for the following requirements and prerequisites.

PBX hardware requirements
  • Analog ports, one per S3400 Message Server port
  • C-LAN circuit pack (TN 799)
  • A C-LAN board, which has been inserted in the switch
Prerequisites
  • IP address to be assigned to C-LAN
  • Node name to be assigned to C-LAN
  • TCP number of the port on the switch that is used to communicate with the messaging server
  • IP address of Messaging Application Server (MAS)
  • Subnet masks for C-LAN segment and MAS segment
  • Gateway IP address for C-LAN segment and MAS segment
