Testing C-LAN integration

Before testing C-LAN integration, make sure that you have completed the following:

• Administering the host switch
• Configuring the S3400 Message Server
• Defining system limits
• Adding local subscribers
  

Testing the integration

To test whether C-LAN integration is successful:

1. Start the terminal emulator.
2. At the administration command prompt, type status processor-channel x and click send [return], or press Enter. Here, x is the messaging server identification number.

   The system displays the Processor-Channel Status form.

3. Verify the following:
   • The Session Layer Status field displays the value In Service.
   • The Socket Status displays the value TCP connected.

   This confirms that C-LAN switch integration has been successfully completed.

4. Click cancel (esc) or press Esc to cancel the command and to type another command at the administration command prompt.
