Install and uninstall the messaging software 

Purpose

The purpose of this information is to describe the procedures for installing and uninstalling the messaging component of CentreVu Internet Solutions (Message Care). It will address prerequisites, software that needs to be installed, installation procedures, and upgrade procedures.

Important!

The above information is presented in order of the recommended installation procedures for the Message Care software. To ensure that the Message Care system operates properly, follow the installation procedures in the order presented in this document.

Audience

This information is intended for installers, system administrators, or any other persons involved in installing software for the messaging system. This includes the Avaya Technical Support Organizations.

References

In addition to the installation procedures that follow, you should read the readme.txt file that is delivered with the software. The readme.txt file includes late-breaking changes to and news about the software. The readme.txt file for the messaging software is located in the top folder of the Message Care installation CD-ROM.

Prerequisites

Important!

Ensure that Active Desktop was not installed on the NT server on which you will install the messaging software.

Make sure your system meets the following hardware and software prerequisites before installing Microsoft SQL server 7.0/2000 and Message Care:
