Install the software on a Windows server
Before you begin the installation, do the following:
Stop the IIS World Wide Web Publishing service
Read the readme.txt file (available on the CVuIS ICC Software CD-ROM in the NT folder).
Stop Message Care if it is installed. See Perform a graceful shutdown for instructions on shutting down Message Care.
Uninstall any prior versions of ICM. See Uninstall the ICM software from a Windows server.
Ensure that your Windows server meets the minimum requirements�see ICM server.
Agent Router installation instructions
Insert the CVuIS ICC Software CD-ROM into the server's CD-ROM drive.
From the NT folder, select ICM and then setup.exe .
Result:
The Welcome page of the InstallShield Wizard will appear.
From the Welcome page, select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the License Agreement page.
Click the Yes button if you agree with the terms of the License Agreement. (If you do not agree, click the No button and the installation process will end.)
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Information page.
The Information page is the readme.txt file. Please read the contents of the Information page to understand issues and learn about late-breaking changes to the software. After you have read the contents of the Information page, select the Next button.
NOTE: You can also view the readme.txt file before you begin the installation by opening it from the NT folder on the CVuIS ICC Software CD-ROM.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Required Hardware/Software page.
The Required Hardware/Software page provides the hardware and software requirements for your Windows server on which you will be installing the Agent Router software. If your Windows server meets the minimum hardware and software requirements, then select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Choose Destination Location page.
The default destination folder where the Agent Router files will be installed is C:\Program Files\Avaya.
You can change the destination folder by selecting the Browse button and then choosing a different location. Once you have identified the destination location folder, select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Product Selection page.
Select the CentreVu Internet Solutions product, and then select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Select Components page.
By default, the Internet Call Manager, Internet Call Center, Jakarta Tomcat, Web Guidelines, and Avaya Voice Media Manager components are selected. Deselect all of these, select the Agent Router component, and then click the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Select Program Folder page.
Select a program folder, and then select the Next button. Avaya is the default program folder name.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager page.
Important!
The field in the Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager page must contain the full domain name or IP address of the server where the ICM software is (or will be) installed.
The Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager page is requesting the ICM server domain name. If you have an existing parameters file on the server, this field will be populated (you may edit it if necessary). If the parameters file is not found on the server, enter the ICM server domain name or IP address. Select the Next button.
The Start Copying Files page provides information on the components and items that you selected during the installation. If you would like to change any of your selections or input, then use the Back button. If you are in agreement with your selections, select the Next button to complete the installation.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard copies the appropriate files and then checks for the correct version of JRE (1.3 or greater).
If the InstallShield Wizard does not find the correct version of JRE, the JRE installation process launches. Follow the steps for that process. If the InstallShield Wizard still cannot locate the JRE software, and you have installed it, specify the path up to (but not including) the bin directory�for example, C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3 .
Result:
A message box displays indicating that the system is being configured and then a finish and reboot dialog appears.
Reboot the ICM server.
ICM Installation instructions
To install the ICM software, do the following:
Insert the Internet Call Manager CD-ROM into the server's CD-ROM drive.
From the NT folder, select ICM and then setup.exe .
Result:
The Welcome page of the InstallShield Wizard will appear.
From the Welcome page, select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the License Agreement page.

By default, the Internet Call Manager, Internet Call Center, Jakarta Tomcat, Web Guidelines, and Avaya Voice Media Manager components are selected.
You do not have to install the Web Guidelines component; you may view the Web Guidelines documentation directly from the Internet Call Manager CD-ROM at any time rather than installing it to a hard drive.
You may deselect the Tomcat component if you already have it installed or if you want to use the JRun servlet engine. If you do not install Tomcat because you already have it installed, you must configure it to work with CentreVu Internet Solutions (see Manually configure Tomcat to work with CentreVu Internet Solutions for more information). See Installing the JRun software for information on installing the JRun servlet engine.
NOTE: If you select the Demos component, you will have to modify the include.js file that is contained in the Test Bank and Fireball demos before these demos will work in your contact center. The include.js file provides instructions on what you must modify within it.
Click the box to the left of the component that you want to select or deselect, and then select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Select Program Folder page.
Select a program folder, and then select the Next button. Avaya is the default program folder name.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Choose Destination Location page.
Enter the location where you have previously installed the ICM software (by doing this, you can preserve previous administration settings) and then select the Next button. If the ICM software is not installed, simply select the Next button. The default for previous installation is C:\itg.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager page.
Important!
The field in the Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager page for ICM Server must contain the full domain name or IP address of the server where the ICM software is installed.

If you did not choose to install the Agent Router on this server, the Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager page for the Agent Router appears. If you chose to install the Agent Router software on this server, go to step 14.

The Configure Avaya Internet Call Manager for Agent Router page is requesting the Agent Router server domain name. If you have an existing parameters file on the server, this field will be populated (you may edit it if necessary). If a parameters file is not found on the server, enter the ICM server domain name or IP address. Select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Choose Destination Location page for Tomcat.
The default installation directory for Tomcat is C:\jakarta-tomcat. Edit this path, if desired, and then select the Next button.
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Select a Language page.
The Select a Language page allows you to pre-administer the ICM with languages. English (US) is the default and is automatically installed, and other languages are always available to add at a future date�this step is for extra convenience. Select any additional languages that you want to pre�administer and then select the Next button
Result:
The InstallShield Wizard displays the Start Copying Files page.
The Start Copying Files page provides information on the components and items that you selected during the installation. If you would like to change any of your selections or input, then use the Back button. If you are in agreement with your selections, select the Next button to complete the installation.

Reboot the ICM server.
Configure the Tomcat software (see Configure the Tomcat software).
Copy the license.dat file to the ICM installation directory. The license.dat file is created by Avaya and installed on the ICM server.
If you are going to install the messaging software on a different server than the ICM and Agent Router software, then you must copy the license.dat file to the same directory on both servers.
When you are finished installing the ICM software, specific parameters must be administered. See Administration.
Configure the Tomcat software
To configure the Tomcat software, do the following:
Open the Microsoft IIS console.
Right-click on Default Web Site and then select the Properties button.
Click on the ISAPI filters tab and then select the Add... button.
Enter jakarta as the Filter name and enter c:\jakarta-tomcat\bin\iis\i386\isapi_redirect.dll as the Executable. (If you installed Tomcat to a directory other than the default, then replace c:\jakarta-tomcat in the above path with the installation path).
Select OK.
Stop and then start the World Wide Web Publishing Service.
Right-click on Default Web Site in the IIS console and then select the Properties item.
Click on the ISAPI filters tab. Ensure that the jakarta filter has a green up-arrow. If the green arrow is not present, check the Filter name to ensure correct spelling and the Executable field to ensure the correct path.
Stop and then start the Jakarta Tomcat service.
