UPS Installation for SCC EPN A-Carrier Cabinet

Administer the External Device Alarm (EDA)

Return to Task List

If the external device alarm (EDA) administration is turned on:

  1. Log in as craft.


Note: If you have a dadmin login and password, you can use them instead of craft and the craft password.

Enter the following information ( XX refers to the 2-digit cabinet number of the EPN):

  1. Type add eda-external-device-alrm XXmajor and press Enter.

  2. Type XX major in the Port field.

  3. Type major in the Alarm Type field.

  4. Type AC Pwr in the Alt Name field.

  5. Type Loss of AC Power A Level UPS on Battery in the Description field.

  6. Enter data in the remaining fields based on your installation requirements.

  7. Type add eda-external-device-alrm XX minor and press Enter.

  8. Type XX minor in the Port field.

  9. Type minor in the Alarm Type field.

  10. Type UPS A in the Alt Name field.

  11. Type A Level UPS is on Electronic Bypass in the Description field.

  12. Enter data in the remaining fields based on your installation requirements.

  13. When done, press Enter.
