Replace the UN332B and Tape Drive with the UN332C and Optical Drive [R9r]

Remove the blank faceplate next to the MSSNET slot in the carrier.

Remove the UN332B circuit pack from the carrier and place it in antistatic packing material.

Remove the tape from the tape drive.

Remove the TN1656 tape drive and place it in antistatic packing material.

Note:

To properly seat a circuit pack, push firmly on the front of the faceplate until the latch reaches the bottom rail of the carrier. Then close the latch until it is fully engaged.

Insert the UN332C circuit pack into the MSSNET slot.

Replace the blank faceplate next to the MSSNET circuit pack.

Insert the TN2211 optical drive (see TN2211 Optical Drive) into the rightmost TAPE DRIVE slot. It uses only 2 slots.

Remove the blank faceplate from Memory Slot 4 and place it over the leftmost Tape Drive slot.

Note:

Make sure the formatted removable media is not write-protected before placing it into the optical drive (see Make sure the disk is not write-protected.).

Caution!

The removable media has a sliding, metal cover to protect the surface of the disk. DO NOT TOUCH THE DISK UNDER THE METAL COVER (see Do not touch the disk inside the cartridge.).

Place the formatted removable media, label facing left, into the optical drive. The arrow should be in the top left position when inserting the cartridge into the drive.

Make sure the disk is not write-protected.
