Migrating from MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III)

This checklist provides the steps required to migrate data from a MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III) system to an Avaya Intuity system.

The following AUDIX Voice Power releases can be migrated to the Avaya Intuity system:

Migration Checklist

To migrate from a MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III) system to the Avaya Intuity system:
 

Description
Preparing for the migration
  1. Gather the information and materials you need.
  1. Verify that the customer understands his responsibility to make the administrative changes required for the migration.
  1. Record the MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III) profile information.
Preparing the Avaya Intuity system
  1. Install the migration software.
  1. Create a temporary Avaya Intuity system calling group.
  1. Create an Avaya Intuity system test coverage group.
  1. Assign the temporary calling group to the test coverage group.
  1. Cable the Avaya Intuity voice ports.
  1. Preadminister the Avaya Intuity system.
Migrating the database
  1. Back up the MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III) data.
  1. Run the data transfer.
  1. Check the log file.
  1. Verify the transfer of data.
Completing the migration
  1. Remove the migration software.
  1. Administer the automated attendants.
  1. Move the voice port cabling.
  2. Note: This allows subscribers to continue dialing the same telephone number on the Avaya Intuity system to get their messages as they dialed on the MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III) system. It also allows subscribers to get old messages stored on the MERLIN LEGEND AUDIX Voice Power (IS II or IS III) system.
