Readministering the AUDIX R1 System
This procedure assumes that the customer wants to readminister the AUDIX R1 to work as a stand-alone system. This means subscribers can call a new number to listen to old messages until the system is taken out of service.
- At the AUDIX R1 command line, type sy tr s and press F8 (Enter).
The system displays the System:Translation:Switch Connection screen.
- In the connection type field, type standalone
- Press F1 (Change or Run).
- At the AUDIX R1 command line, type sy tr voice and press F8 (Enter).
The system displays the System:Translation:Voice Port screen.
- Delete the existing voice port assignments.
- Add new port assignments using the new extensions for the AUDIX R1.
- Press F1 (Change or Run) to save your entries.
Confirming the Intuity AUDIX Configuration
The Intuity AUDIX system switch and feature configuration should be set correctly for the customer when it is shipped.
To confirm that this configuration is correct:
- Start at the Avaya Intuity main menu and select:
Feature OptionsThe system displays the Feature Options Window.
- Confirm that the Intuity AUDIX system has the same features activated in the same quantities as before the migration.
- Press F6 (Cancel).
- From the Avaya Intuity main menu, select:
Network AdministrationRemote Machine InformationThe system displays the Remote Machine Information Window.
- Compare this information with the System:Translation:Machine:Audix information that was recorded during the Record the AUDIX R1 profile information topic for any remote networked machines.
- Press F6 (Cancel) twice.
- From the Avaya Intuity main menu, select:
Voice System AdministrationVoice EquipmentThe system displays the Display Voice Equipment Window.
- From the
Phone
column, write down each extension in the order displayed.- Press F6 (Cancel) once.
- From the Voice System Administration menu, select:
System MonitorThe system displays the System Monitor -Voice Channels Window.
- Using a handset near the Intuity AUDIX system, dial every extension listed in Step 8.
- Watch the System Monitor - Voice Channels window to confirm that each channel rings in the same order as it is administered on the Display Voice Equipment window. Confirm also that each channel answers the call.
- Do one of the following:
- If the channels all ring in the correct order and all answer the call, then go to Step 14.
- If any channel does not ring in the correct order or does not answer the call, then check the cross-connect field for incorrect wiring. Correct the wiring, then return to Step�7.
- Press F6 (Cancel) twice.
- Administer channels.

Remove the Migration Software
Removing the migration software preserves disk space. For more information, see Removing the migration software.
Setting Up Digital Networking
- Enter get remote_updates remote machine name where remote machine name is the name of a system that shares the network with your local system.
Completing the Migration
To complete the migration, you (or the customer) must complete a number of additional installation tasks. These may include:
If the customer is responsible for these tasks, give the customer all printouts from the AUDIX R1 system to assist in readministering the new system.
