An event is an informational message about system activities that
indicate routine conditions or conditions that can lead to an alarm.
For example, an event is logged when the system is rebooted.
The system displays events in the administrator's log. For information
about how to access the administrator's log, see Administrator's
log.
Note: Only events on the Message Storage Server are
recorded in the administrator's log. Events on the Message
Application Server (MAS) are recorded in the Microsoft Windows
event logs. On the MAS, use the Event Viewer under the Administrative
Tools to see these logs. For more information, see Logs.

How to find information about a specific

The event descriptions and resolution procedures in this section
are organized by the event application identifier (ID), which is
the two-letter code used to identify the application or subsystem
for which an event is being generated.
For example, the application ID for the MT BKRST029 event is MT.
If you want to find information about the MT BKRST029 event, see
the MT (Maintenance) Events information.
