Replacing the cover and bezel

You must remove the front bezel and top cover for most maintenance procedures.

To replace the top cover and bezel:

  1. Position the top cover so the latch hook is in back, and the rail hooks face towards the back of the server. See figure Removing or replacing the cover.
  2. Set the cover on the chassis so it is aligned with the sides and slightly overhangs the front of the server.
  3. Slide the cover towards the back of the server until it is flush with the chassis.
  4. For a rack-mount setup, slide the server back into the cabinet.
  5. Note: If you unplugged any cables, reconnect them now. For more information, see figure Messaging Application Server (back view).

  6. Tighten the screw latch on the back of the chassis to secure the top cover.
  7. Replace the bezel (plastic cover) on the front of the chassis. See figure Removing or replacing the front bezel.
    1. Insert the tabs on the bottom of the bezel into the chassis.
    2. Push the bezel upright until the two upper tabs snap into place under the top cover.
  8. For a stackable (desktop) configuration, replace any units that were stacked on top of this server.
  9. Continue with Restoring power to the server.
