Replacing a pushbutton-type circuit card hold-down bracket

To replace a pushbutton-type circuit card hold-down bracket:

  1. Pull up on the pushbutton fasteners to make sure that they are fully extended. See Removing and replacing a pushbutton-type circuit card hold-down bracket.
  2. Position the bracket toward the front of the chassis, so that the first pushbutton fastener is aligned over the 4th hole back on the inside rail.
  3. Hook the tab on the hold-down bracket over the outer rail inside the chassis.
  4. Adjust the bracket position so that:
    • the pad on the hold-down spacer is over the tallest card, and

Replacing a lever-type circuit card hold-down bracket

To replace a lever-type circuit card hold-down bracket:

  1. Make sure the levers on the hold-down bracket are up. See Removing and replacing a lever-type circuit card hold-down bracket.
  2. Position the bracket so that the pad is over the circuit cards.
  3. Seat the bracket on the lower part of the outside and inside rails of the chassis.
  4. Press down on the levers firmly to clamp the bracket against the chassis rails.
