Replacing system components

This topic provides information on the system components that can be replaced in each of the system's supported servers:

• S3400-H
• S3210R
• S3210

S3400-H replaceable system components

The following S3400-H components can be replaced on site:

• Circuit cards:
  • Network interface card (NIC)
  • SCSI RAID controller board
  • Nonintegrated video and LAN model only:
    • Remote maintenance board (RMB)
    • Video card
• Analog port boards
• DVD-RAM drive
• Fans
• Internal cables including:
  • Disk drive cables
  • Other internal cables including fan power, RMB reset cable, and the SCSI cable group
• LED front panel or its motherboard cable
• Memory module
• SCSI RAID drives
• SCSI fan tray
• Redundant power supply

If any other internal components fail, such as the motherboard or the SCSI drive backplane, a server replacement is required. For information on ordering replacement components, contact your support representative.

S3210R replaceable system components

For the S3210R, the following system components can be replaced:

• Analog port board
• Hard disk drive
• Power supply
• DVD-RW drive
• Front chassis fan
• Rear chassis fan
• Memory module

If any other internal components fail, a server replacement is required. For information on ordering replacement components, contact your support representative.

S3210 replaceable system components

For the S3210, the following system components can be replaced:

• Analog port board
• Hard drive
• Power supply
• CD-RW

Other server component failures require a server replacement.
