Avaya Modular Messaging systems ship with a set of standard, pre-recorded prompts for the system Automated Attendant. The prompts are in the CustomPrompts.OVF file.
You can use these generic prompts, if you wish. Avaya recommends, however, that you use the Visual Voice Editor to customize these prompts for your company.
This is enabled via the Voice Mail System Configuration window’s Auto Attendant dialog box, Attendant Main Menu Editor tab. See VMSC - VMD - Auto Attendant - Attendant Main Menu Editor Tab.
This is enabled via the Voice Mail System Configuration window’s Auto Attendant dialog box, Holidays tab. See VMSC - VMD - Auto Attendant - Holidays Tab.
This is enabled via the Voice Mail System Configuration window’s Auto Attendant dialog box, Time of Day tab. See VMSC - VMD - Auto Attendant - Time of Day Tab.
This is enabled via the Voice Mail System Configuration window’s Auto Attendant dialog box, Language/Key Association tab. See VMSC - VMD - Auto Attendant - Language/Key Association Tab.
The following topics are procedural overviews for customizing and deploying your custom prompts.
