Features
Features are specific sets of capabilities of the Avaya IR system, which are enabled by certain hardware, software, or combinations of hardware and software. In addition to having the appropriate hardware and software components installed on the system, many features require some special setup, modifications to applications, and administration of the system to function properly.
There are three categories of features:
- Base features are part of the standard equipment you receive when you purchase the base system. Examples of base features include Web Administration, alarm administration, and the service creation environment.
- Optional features can be purchased separately. Examples of optional features include Adjunct/Switch Application Interface (ASAI), VoiceXML, and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) data integration process (CTI DIP).
- Licensed features require right to use (RTU) licensing by channel for the licensed technology. Examples of licensed features include Voice over IP, digital interfaces, and Fax.
